About Me
Hi, I’m Lauren Hill, also known as, “Lalatoodope or Stylistlalatoodope”. I am a New Jersey-based native, based out of East Orange, NJ. I specialize in all things Fashion, ranging from Fashion Styling, Designing, and Blogging. With more than 6 years of experience within the Fashion Industry, I can offer services in Fashion Styling, Model Management and all things related to Blogging and Media. I have styling blog created for the public via Instagram called '“stylistlalatoodope” where I keep my audience, #stylemates informed and up to date on fashion trends, media news and information on events, creatives and brands within our own community.
My fashion blog venture, Stylistlalatoodope started on January 23, 2017, and just like that my baby was born. “It” was an easy click to find aesthetically pleasing content, a safe haven for me to show off my sense of style and to be unapologetically myself. I started off using Polyvore to create outfit inspirations that I would share to my feed as a representation of my personal style and a daily look-book outfit ideas for others. In addition, I gave my Stylemates an in depth look into my journey as an aspiring Fashion Stylist and Enthusiast.
In showing my appreciation for various styles, I would often catch myself starting dialogue with random followers about the content I post. This eventually transformed my blog to not only an expressive outlet for me, but also for people that love and enjoy all things media and fashion related. I post content that informs and entertains my audience. I provide them exclusive content on the latest drops and hottest collaborations. We discuss and voice our opinions on the new fashion trends and styles. Fashion is only one of the many important topics we touch on. We also touch on controversial subjects as well as everyday news. All while enjoying a front row seat in my journey through the Fashion Industry. The people who interact with the page have adopted and embraced the nickname, “Stylemates' '! Stylemates are followers who interact, support and follow my fashion blog. I have over 2500 stylemates and the number is continuously growing by the day. I created an annual event in celebration of my followers called “The Stylemates Picnic”.
The Stylemates Picnic, is a chance for us to get to know each other on a personal level, connect with others and get inspired. We indulge in many activities at the picnic like, vision boards, lanyard, ice breakers and trivia questions. I give out prizes to those that answer the trivia questions correctly. Throughout the event, we get a chance to talk, connect with one another and discuss random topics we talk about on my blog and issues within our communities. Our first picnic started with 10-15 people in attendance and we are still growing yearly. 2022 marked our 4th Annual Stylemates Picnic, and we packed the park out with 50+ people! Anyone can become a Stylemate, so sit back, interact and enjoy the ride!
